1、 YT-1792 fraction fuelMercaptan SulfurOverview of the measuring instrument:
Thiols in YT-1792 fraction fuelSulfur analyzerThe potentiometric titration method is based on the standards of the People's Republic of ChinaGB/T1792-Designed and manufactured according to the requirements specified in "Determination of Thiol Sulfur in Distillate Fuels (Potentiometric Titration Method)", it is suitable for measuring thiol sulfur in jet fuels, gasoline, kerosene, and light diesel with sulfur free hydrogen content ranging from 0.0003 to 0.01% (m/m).
When the sulfur content of the element is greater than 0.0005% (m/m), there is interference.
This instrument consists of a titration device and supporting components, and is a standard instrument for detecting thiol sulfur in distillate fuels.
This instrument mainly has the following characteristics:
When conducting titration capacity analysis, the endpoint potential is pre-set. After starting titration, the input potential value, whether positive or negative, whether the potential increases or decreases after titration, positive or negative, has a precision automatic polarity reversal circuit inside the instrument and automatically tracks the endpoint potential. The operator does not need to toggle any control switches, which is convenient to use and improves control accuracy.
Adopting highly reliable touch key control makes it convenient for users to choose between automatic titration and manual titration.

Preparation of silver sulfide electrode
1. National standard prescribed methods
(1) Polish the silver electrode and silver terminal with sandpaper.
(2) Immerse the polished silver electrode silver terminal in 100ml of acidic titration solvent containing 8ml of 1% sodium sulfide solution.
(3) Slowly add 10ml of 0.1mol/l silver nitrate standard titrant from the burette under stirring conditions, and control the titration time at 10-15 minutes.
(4) Take out the electrode from the solution, rinse it with water, and dry it with a mirror paper.
In the process of making experimental electrodes, it is difficult to generate silver sulfide at the silver terminal of the electrode. After 15 minutes of titration with 10ml of 0.1mol/l silver nitrate standard solution, black silver sulfide will be generated at the silver terminal of the electrode. The response signal of the electrode to thiol sulfur during testing depends on the degree of silver sulfide formation.
2. Improved method for preparing silver sulfide electrode
Change (2) of the above method to immerse the polished silver electrode silver terminal in 100ml of alkaline titration solvent containing 8ml of 1% sodium sulfide solution. (3) Under stirring conditions, slowly add 10ml of 0.1mol/l silver nitrate standard titration solution from the burette, and rotate the electrode to evenly deposit the silver sulfide coating on the silver terminal of the electrode. The titration time should be controlled at 2 minutes. During testing, the electrode showed a strong response signal to thiol sulfur.
